The Internet space of “social expression” is in its infancy. How individuals are communicating and expressing their views is continually changing and growing. Internet social networking sites (Facebook, Twitter, etc) and social media sites (YouTube, flickr, etc.) are allowing Internet users to express themselves. Social Networking sites allow a person to express themselves by telling the world who they are, what they like, and letting them link to other “like minded” users. Social Media sites allow a person to upload video, pictures, and audio that let them express themselves, or at the very least post something of interest. But these sites do not offer or allow a user to gather opinions or feedback in a media rich manner. They don’t allow a user to post a question or poll to gather specific feedback. With this in mind Calibrus Inc. created JabberMonkey a social expression site, and is designed to provide our online global community a platform to express themselves.
